GMC CERTIFIED SERVICE
WINTER DRIVING AND YOUR GMC
CERTIFIED SERVICE

To help ensure that your GMC is ready for whatever challenging conditions winter weather has coming your way, start by making an appointment with your GMC dealership. The Certified Service experts can conduct a vehicle inspection, which includes examining the brakes, battery, tires and other components.

This is a good time to have a battery test performed to check the health of your battery, and visually inspect the cables and connections. The Certified Service experts can check for proper levels of engine oil, coolant, and brake and transmission fluids. Insufficient fluid levels could lead to damage and costly repairs. They can also check the engine air filter and the cabin air filter (if equipped).

Wiper blades are an often overlooked and key maintenance item. If they are worn or dirty, this can obscure your vision, especially in messy weather. Watch for worn rubber, streaking or a skipping of the blades across the windshield. Should any of these symptoms exist, have the blades replaced.

Finally, the experts can inspect your GMC’s tires for adequate tread and correct air-pressure levels. If replacements are needed, they can recommend the best tires for you and your GMC.

Winter Tip: If you live in an area where the temperature may drop below freezing, be sure to use a windshield washer fluid that has sufficient protection against freezing.
